Tablet Weaving (often Card Weaving in the United States) is a weaving technique where tablets, also called 'cards', are used to create the shed the weft is passed through. The origins of this technique go back at least to the early Iron Age. The technique is limited to narrow work such as belts, straps, or garment trim. As the materials and tools are relatively cheap and easy-to-obtain, tablet weaving is popular with hobbyist weavers.

Originally published in the 1920s, this book provides an excellent introduction to the techniques of tablet weaving, and illustrates a variety of design patterns with some detailed instructions.
