Originally published in 1920, The Leather Worker's Manual (3rd Edition) is a compendium of practical recipes and working formulas for curriers, bootmakers, leather dressers, blacking manufacturers, saddlers, and fancy leather workers.

The original idea of the book was to impart in a convenient form the methods of preparing and using the various preparations used in leather manufacture, such as seasons, dyes, blackings, finishes, polishing and renovating compounds, the formulas of which are often difficult to obtain at short notice.

Note that this book is not intended to teach tanners and curriers the art of leather manufacture.
