Originally published in 1920, Baggally's Telepathy: Genuine and Fraudulent (2nd Edition) is a wonderful learner's guide for the historical psychical researches of paranormal/supernatural phenomena. It is considered unbiased pertaining to experiments in telepathy, both in evidence of how it is often faked as well as some pretty interesting findings.

W. W. Baggally (c1847 - 1928), a former member of the Council of the British Society for Psychical Research, was a careful, conscientious, exceptionally skilled and critical investigator of supernormal phenomena. Also, he was an amateur conjurer of much experience.
