Product Information
Originally published in 1945, this book contains over 30 sewn and crocheted ideas on aprons and bibs. Detailed instructions and diagrams are provided for all projects including bibs, party aprons, work aprons, play aprons, aprons for men, and more.
Book Excerpt:
Here are aprons designed primarily to defend your dresses, and aprons designed primarily for conquests. The former are as attractive as they are sensible; the latter are the merest whiffs of femininity -- demure or coquettish.
Here are aprons for gifts, aprons for bazaars and fairs, and aprons for an around-the-clock schedule in the home.
Here, too, are aprons designed with an eye to the costumes, to be worn under them. Do you wear slacks? Then see page 13. Do you act as cook even when you're giving a dinner party? Then see page 12.
One each page are instructions and, where necessary, diagrams. The aprons are easy to make. However, we advise that, before you do any cutting or sewing, you make a paper pattern, try it on and make any necessary adjustments. The diagrams are "medium size", but little adjustments in skirt length, tie length, etc., may spell the difference between a perfect and an imperfect fitting apron.
The diagrams given make it easy for you to cut your own patterns by simply following the dimensions given.
