The beginning includes an historical overview of lace-making, followed by detailed instructions on how to make a variety of stitches in lace-making. The book then illustrates 78 fascinating lace designs which are mainly direct reproduction from genuine, handmade modern laces. Although the complete patterns and instructions are not given, those experienced on lace-making should have no difficulty to recreate many projects out of these classic designs.
