Prof. Dennis Magner was a world famous horse trainer and tamer during the 1860s to 1880s. He authored several well-known horse training books, among them The Art of Taming and Educating Horses was the most comprehensive one with massive 37 chapters, 1,100 pages and 900 illustrations.

In this book, Prof. Magner introduces "the simplest, most humane and effective system in the world for the subjection of wide and vicious horses, together with chapters on feeding, stabling, shoeing, and the practical treatment for sickness, lameness, etc., with a large number of recipes heretofore sold as great secrets".
